Alma Project
We have a small clinic on site. This clinic uses holistic
approaches to helping you maintain good health.
Nurse Practitioner:
The Nurse Practitioner is Dana Wedel, RN, MFN, MP, CS. Dana
comes to us from UC Parnassus and has a Master’s degree in
Psychiatric Nursing. She can help with daily living, second
opinions, medical questions, and a host of other issues.
She is also great and is willing to sit around and chat
with you about where you are and where you would like to
go.
Acupuncture:
We are proud to have with us a traditionally trained
acupuncturist , Dr. Wang, who learned his craft in mainland
China and knows many locations in which to place his
needles to bring about a more healthy body. Dr. Wang does
not see us as mentally ill, but as out of balance. He works
to bring our bodies back into balance so that all systems
work at their optimal levels, thus enabling us to stay
healthy and improve our mental outlook. This process also
helps us to metabolize our medications more effectively,
achieve greater stability, and , in some cases, use less
meds.
Meditation and Reiki:
We are all familiar with meditation, but what most of us
call meditation is actually guided energy. We will share
both meditation and Reiki with you at your request.
There is no quick way to internal peace.
Reiki is
energy work with your charkas and the channeling of energy
(commonly call Chi) through your body’s meridians. These
are the same meridians that the acupuncturist uses. Call
and ask to speak to the Nurse or the Reiki Master for more
information.
