Osh follows the Harm Reduction Model for those members who
have both mental health needs and substance use issues.
Not ready to quit yet?
OSH
provides both group and one-on-one services from trained
staff who are dual diagnosed. We’re here to assist you in
sorting out the issues and choosing a path through the
system.
Our first goal is to keep you alive through the process.
Ready to Quit?
We feel
that when you are ready to quit you should be matched up
with either a sponsor in a twelve-step program or a mentor
at Osh. Your sponsor or mentor should be with you for the
long haul and help guide you through the complicated issues
that you will confront when you decide that now is the time
to clean up.
Wherever you are in the process we hope you think of our
dual-diagnosis services as complementary to those services
you already use or as a starting place for your recovery.
We understand that twelve-step programs have not worked for
the majority of us, but se should not lose sight of the
fact that during our early attempts at recovery we were
still using. We should leave all doors to recovery open.
It is our belief that a good Harm Reduction Model will
eventually take you through most, if not all, of the steps,
toward the final goal of leading a clean-and-sober life.
The approaches differ. You should choose the approach that
appeals to you and that makes you most comfortable.
